SPA Racing Team

SPA Racing. Named, in part, after the legendary Spa-Francorchamps race track, brings a performance mentality to racing. We utilize cutting edge technologies and a deep understanding of the science behind good performance to help riders develop into racers, and racers into champions!

This PILOT program is meant for riders looking for a home across the full season. While the Academy builds Junior and U23 riders to compete at Regional and National level events and Championships, the SPA team is a more traditional, full year racing team. We’re starting off small for 2026 with MTB and CX focus areas, but riders are encouraged to race across the spectrum of this amazing sport. SPA is built on the foundations of my ’95/’96 Colorado MTB team, the Sterling ‘Cross program that ran in Northern California from 2008 – 2013 and is modeled after both the USA Cycling Talent ID Camps and previous ACADEMY and ELITE programs I’ve run. We/I have a solid history of success in Road, MTB, Cyclocross, and Gravel. In the last 12 months riders we’ve worked with have won 3 National Championships, and the Ultra-Prestigious Non-Championship CX Team Relay. Those are added to over 50 wins in the ’95/’96 MTB Season, a dozen + Colorado State Championships between 2022 – 2025, a couple dozen more California State Championships since 2016, and a few more National Titles along the way.

We’ve been in the business of winning since 1995!

For 2026 SPA Racing membership includes USAC Race Team affiliation, your first TEAM KIT from Castelli, a team training plan and discounts or free products from our partners at Lazer Helmets, TRP Brakes, and Others. Event choice is dependent on rider participation.
